Eagles Win, Here's How I Felt it Went Down

Eagles Game Notes Week 3 Vs. Chiefs
1:02 Opening Kickoff: Eagles Win the toss, no excuses for Kolb this week the Chiefs stone stink even without Westbrook who is also out.
1:03 1st quarter, Vick in game, Maclin starting for Kevin Curtis, nothing on play though
1:03 1st quarter, Eagles go 3 & out, the 2nd down Vick play may have hurt them
1:07 1st quarter, Eagles jump offsides on 3rd down giving the Chiefs a 1st down, stupid mistake by veteran Darren Howard
1:11 1st quarter, Eagles end up better off because they drove the Chiefs back and now have the ball in Chief territory after the punt
1:16 1st quarter, Vick in game at qb, they run an option he keeps it for 6 yards, takes a big hit
1:17 1st quarter, Eagles in red zone for 1st time after direct snap play to Shady McCoy, like the play calling a lot this drive, next play handoff to McCoy 1st and goal inside the 5, this is why I said Kolb has no excuses, they will protect him as much as they can & have enough talent to beat the Chief unless the qb makes tons of mistakes
1:20 1st quarter, full house backfield with Vick at qb, he throws it out of bounds took a huge hit
1:21 1st quarter, direct snap to McCoy, breaks tackles in for a TD, great job by the rookie, and the Eagles go up 7-0 after the extra point, less is more with Kolb, he took part in maybe 3 plays in that drives
1:26 1st quarter, Eagles all over Cassel, so far this game, he doesn’t look good, 3 & out and a punt for them, Jets score flashes up 14-0 already, could they be for real?
1:30 1st quarter, good Kolb pass to a wide open DeShawn Jackson, 43 yard gain, he is a #1 WR people, very good player
1:31 1st quarter, Vick in hands off to McCoy, 1st and goal Eagles, next play Brent Celek almost gets his head taken off, 2nd and goal from the 1, he has to learn to get down when he catches balls across the middle
1:33 1st quarter, Kolb qb sneak for a TD, Eagles up 14-0, Chiefs look as bad as I thought they were, McCoy and D. Jackson have done whatever the wanted, Vick looks bad, Kolb like a good manager so far
1:38 end of 1st quarter, 1st 2nd quarter play will be Chiefs punt, after the initial 3 & out the Eagles dominated, would like to see Maclin do something, this is a stat padding type of day coming
1:45 2nd quarter, McCoy great blitz pickup and Celek with a catch on 3rd down, Celek needs hazard pay he is taking a beating, a young qb ALWAYS relies on the TE so he will get the ball a lot today, he has taken a ton of hits already
1:46 2nd quarter, Kolb almost picked off dropped by Chiefs DB Flowers
1:47 2nd quarter, Eagles go for it on 4th &1 and for some reason pass the ball, it gets batted down, they HAVE to be able to run in those situations, they give the Chiefs great field position at their 40
1:50 2nd quarter, Chiefs get a great run to the Eagles 30 but called back by a holding penalty, this team is worse then the Lions
1:52 2nd quarter, Chiefs pull off trick play and gain 28 yards, they are inside the Eagles 30, i think he trapped the ball but the Eagles didn’t challenge it, WR pass
1:56 2nd quarter, Chiefs score! Ellis Hobbs beat for the TD, Eagles defense TERRIBLE on that drive and all of this is set up by the stupid call to pass on 4th and 1 rather then running OR punting & pinning the Chiefs deep Eagles 14-Chiefs 7
2:00 2nd quarter, Eagles short slant to DeShawn Jackson breaks a tackle and takes it 64 yards for a TD! Huge play by Jackson, I say Again he is a #1 WR, Eagles 21- Chiefs 7, he is unreal
2:06 2nd quarter, Chiefs again go 3 & out as they have every time except when the Eagles injected confidence in them, Jeremy Maclin shaky on the fair catch of the punt, it is VERY important that he can do that since like Westbrook before him, Jackson is going to off special teams since he showing how great he COULD become as WR
2:09 2nd quarter, Vick in on 2nd down, Vick incomplete on the pass, under throws Avant
2:13 2nd quarter, Vick in again, so far his plays have stunk, hand off to Maclin loses a yard, next play Celek makes ANOTHER catch, if Kolb played the whole season he would make Pro Bowl IF he survived
2:15 2nd quarter, direct snap to McCoy for the 1st down, 2 minute warning. His plays in the Wildcat are much much better then Vick’s so far
2:20 2nd quarter, dirty hit on Maclin by Mike Brown on a pass he didn’t touch, bad throw by Kolb, bad hit by Brown surprised it didn’t draw a flag, after incompletion Kolb 15-22 211 yards and the big TD by Jackson
2:22 2nd quarter, Akers makes field goal Eagles 24-Chiefs 7, if the Eagles defense plays C- level the Eagles win this game easily, Chiefs can’t score 24 points in 2 games
2:27 Halftime, everyone but Vick looks good on offense, I question if Maclin can be effective as a punt returner though
2:42 3rd quarter, Chiefs start the quarter with a penalty, they just can’t get out of their own way, on the 1st punt Jackson is back again to receive, if Maclin had showed more then I’m sure they would have kept him back there
2:48 3rd quarter, Kolb looks good on the throw to Maclin, I think Solomon Wilcox is terrible saying Kolb has a strong arm but he does have accuracy today, and has 250 yards so far
2:51 3rd quarter, Kolb overthrows Jackson in end zone, Eagles kick field goal Eagles 27- Chiefs 7
2:58 3rd quarter, Chiefs have a big run & this time it isn’t called back, Eagles have 317 yards to the Chiefs 99, its actually getting boring
3:00 3rd quarter, after a STUPID QB draw 3rd down call by Haley the Chiefs fake the punt for a 1st down, I guess Cassel’s knee is doing better since he can run QB draws, TERRIBLE call
3:01 3rd quarter, after the fake punt a fumble by Larry Johnson recovered by the Eagles, Chiefs stink in case you haven’t noticed, Haley is challenging the fumble & the play stands it was a fumble
3:06 3rd quarter, direct snap to McCoy, they keep showing Todd Haley, he doesn’t have talent but I think he also doesn’t know how to motivate
3:11 3rd quarter, Chiefs make another play to get around midfield, I am trying to see if the Chiefs will quit on Haley or still fight, they follow up a LJ run with another offensive pass interference call, clearly Haley has coached the WR’s to do this but the officials are calling it
3:16 4th quarter, to start the quarter, fittingly the Chiefs punt
3:20 4th quarter, the catch of the day in traffic by DeShawn Jackson, very impressive player
3:21 4th quarter, 3rd and 1, Vick back in, he has been bad all day, he hands off to McCoy and the Eagles won’t get it, Vick i think hurt the rhythm, and the Chiefs have not quit, props to Haley at least for that
3:32 4th quarter, garbage time is here, McCoy with a huge run up the middle, he has 85 yards today rushing with Westbrook out
3:32 4th quarter, TD catch by Brent Celek, the middle of the Chiefs defense is just terrible, TERRIBLE, 30+ yard catch, Celek is surviving and playing well, Eagles 34-Chiefs 7
3:37 4th quarter, Jeff Garcia is warming up with 6 minutes left, Kolb threw for over 300 yards, but they made it VERY easy for him this week
3:38 4th quarter, Garcia in the game, this is a showcase because after the bye week he will be released since McNabb will be back & starting again week 5, wholesale changes along the offensive line as well for the Eagles, they are treating the Chiefs like a preseason opponent
3:40 4th quarter, Garcia shows why he was out of football, Wilcox blames the center but Garcia fumbles his 1st snap, TERRIBLE job by Garcia, Chiefs of course follows this with a mistake of their own as they fumble the snap but recover it, the Chiefs then run for a TD but it is called back by a holding call
3:45 2 minute warning, mercifully for the Chiefs
3:48 4th quarter, Bobby Wade catches a 9 yard TD from Cassel, Eagles 34-Chiefs 14
3:50 4th quarter, Celek recovers onside kick
3:51 4th quarter, Eagles in victory formation, dominating win against a team they should beat every time.
3:52 Eagles win 34-17
