Eagles V. Dallas 11/8/09 Both teams enter 5-2
After stopping Dallas Jeremy Maclin shows he doesn’t like the football by throwing it to the other team. Dallas then goes 37 yards in 7 plays for a touchdown. Without Westbrook the margin of error is MUCH smaller. McNabb hits Maclin in the hands and he basically slaps it to the Dallas safety. Score Dallas 7 Eagles 0
Early in the 2nd quarter the Eagles start the move the ball when Avant makes a good grab. Wide receivers making plays for a QB makes things so much easier. After some runs by McCoy the drive stalls. Field Goal by Akers. Score Dallas 7 Eagles 3
The Vick plays continue to be a complete waste. He is slow anymore & just can’t make an impact without seeing more plays. Btw the Eagles offensive line is wildly inconsistent.
McCoy continues to play well for the Eagles in the run game. He looks very bad in the passing game both catching and blocking so far though. Westbrook is just a more well rounded player. After the 2 minute warning Reid calls a STUPID play a run on 3rd and 4 that gains 1 and will lead to a 48 yard attempt by Akers. Dallas 7 Eagles 6
Terrible coverage by the Eagles allows a 69 yard play to Creighton, TERRIBLE job. Great hold though, they will go into the half down by 4. Dallas 10 Eagles 6
Opening kickoff and Moises Fokou ruins a 96 yard td return that was a stone stupid play. He tackled the man 20 yards from the returner.
Eagles drive down and score on the opening drive of the 2nd half. McNabb to Celek for a TD. Dallas wasted the challenge & a timeout saying McNabb was past the line of scrimmage but he wasn’t. This rule has been very consistent. Eagles 13 Dallas 10
Terrible taunting calls on Asante Samuel, terrible but it doesn’t matter as Sheldon Brown picks off a Romo pass. Fokou with ANOTHER stupid penalty backs them up inside their own 15.
Stupid challenge by Andy Reid, never challenge for less then 1 yard. Eagles left with 1 timeout with over 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Stupid stupid call.
Cowboys had a good drive going it stalls due to offensive pass interference by Jason Whitten followed by a sack by Trent Cole.
Pass to Maclin put up for both guys & Maclin doesn’t go for the ball and let’s him take it. Int, wasn’t a good pass but Maclin lacks NFL toughness.
After a big play to Roy Williams where he went out of bounds for no reason Dallas has to settle for a field goal. Eagles 13 Dallas 13 very early in the 4th quarter
McNabb missed a wide open Jackson. With 13:18 how do both teams only have 1 timeout?

Bad Loss
There is nothing good anyone can say about the Eagles TERRIBLE loss against the Oakland Raiders yesterday. I could say a lot of bad things & I will but 1st a side bar. I hate kickers. I hate them more then any other part of sports. I hate everything about who they are & what they represent. They are not athletes, they do not have to go through the physical rigors that athletes have go through. They lose games and get glory and get no blame when they lose. There is always an excuse like, “If you have to rely on the kicker you deserve to lose”. Could you imagine saying that about ANY other position? If you have to rely on the free safety you deserve to lose. If you have to rely on you left guard you deserve to lose. Every other position has a responsibility to be good at their jobs except for kickers who have the easiest job in all of sports. The Eagles played dreadful but the player who played the worse was David Akers. For all the faults the Eagles had, and there were many, if Akers makes 2 kicks inside of 45 yards with no wind and great weather the Eagles win. Same thing goes for Baltimore playing in a dome & even the Bills who could have won in regulation. I hate kickers.
Position Grades:
Quarterback: D - I would rate McNabb lower but he was under siege the entire game. He got hit on almost every play and dropped back 46 times while they ran only 14. Peyton Manning would have had trouble with this game, although I would imagine his grade would have been a B.
Running Back: B - Westbrook was great but McCoy was bad, and still is struggling against the blitz. In Andy Reid’s offense he will see his playing time reduced if he can’t block better.
Wide Recievers: C - They didn’t play bad but they did drop passes. They had man to man coverage on them almost the entire game without the best cornerback in football and still failed to make a play. It wasn’t all their faults as McNabb missed many receivers but they did nothing to pick him up.
Tight End: C - Celek didn’t have a great game and had a few drops, he also blocked terrible. McNabb did miss him a few times as well.
Offensive Line: F - This was the worse performance by an offensive line I have ever seen. Andy Reid didn’t help them much by passing so often but they didn’t block anyone. If was like a high school team playing against pros. The Raiders STINK and they kicked the Eagles line’s butt ALL day long. Jason Peters injury would be an excuse if only King Dunlap sucked, but they all sucked.
Defensive Line: D - They got their butts kicked almost as bad as the offensive line. They did get some pass rush but they also let Justin Fargas gash them & that was a Raiders offensive line without 2 starters.
Linebackers: F - Cut Trotter. He can’t play. He is the reason they scored a 86 yard touchdown. I don’t care if the young guys look bad in practice you have to cut Trotter NOW.
Defensive Backs: B - They didn’t play badly. They actually made a few plays as well. I can’t blame them for the loss.
Kicker: ZERO - You can’t miss 2 field goals EVER. You don’t have to block. You don’t have to learn plays. You don’t have to worry about contact. You just have to kick, so kick.

Things to Do When Eagles Have Bye Week
1. Watch other football games, Philadelphia fans are very into the Eagles but sometimes neglect other teams.
2. I know you are looking for a #2 but there is none. Your job as a football fan is to watch football on Sunday. Don’t clean the gutters, don’t rake leaves, don’t cut grass, you watch football. If you aren’t an NFL fan then give up your Eagles fan card. You are one of the people that give Philadelphia fans a bad name with you’re lack of knowledge.

Eagles Win, Here's How I Felt it Went Down
Eagles Game Notes Week 3 Vs. Chiefs
1:02 Opening Kickoff: Eagles Win the toss, no excuses for Kolb this week the Chiefs stone stink even without Westbrook who is also out.
1:03 1st quarter, Vick in game, Maclin starting for Kevin Curtis, nothing on play though
1:03 1st quarter, Eagles go 3 & out, the 2nd down Vick play may have hurt them
1:07 1st quarter, Eagles jump offsides on 3rd down giving the Chiefs a 1st down, stupid mistake by veteran Darren Howard
1:11 1st quarter, Eagles end up better off because they drove the Chiefs back and now have the ball in Chief territory after the punt
1:16 1st quarter, Vick in game at qb, they run an option he keeps it for 6 yards, takes a big hit
1:17 1st quarter, Eagles in red zone for 1st time after direct snap play to Shady McCoy, like the play calling a lot this drive, next play handoff to McCoy 1st and goal inside the 5, this is why I said Kolb has no excuses, they will protect him as much as they can & have enough talent to beat the Chief unless the qb makes tons of mistakes

1:56 2nd quarter, Chiefs score! Ellis Hobbs beat for the TD, Eagles defense TERRIBLE on that drive and all of this is set up by the stupid call to pass on 4th and 1 rather then running OR punting & pinning the Chiefs deep Eagles 14-Chiefs 7
2:00 2nd quarter, Eagles short slant to DeShawn Jackson breaks a tackle and takes it 64 yards for a TD! Huge play by Jackson, I say Again he is a #1 WR, Eagles 21- Chiefs 7, he is unreal
2:06 2nd quarter, Chiefs again go 3 & out as they have every time except when the Eagles injected confidence in them, Jeremy Maclin shaky on the fair catch of the punt, it is VERY important that he can do that since like Westbrook before him, Jackson is going to off special teams since he showing how great he COULD become as WR

2:13 2nd quarter, Vick in again, so far his plays have stunk, hand off to Maclin loses a yard, next play Celek makes ANOTHER catch, if Kolb played the whole season he would make Pro Bowl IF he survived
